An Italian polychrome & parcel gilt terra cotta group of festive putti musicians and dancers , Depicting a classical plinth hung with fruiting swags surmounted by six lively musicians and circled below by 14 playful dancers . The putti are modeled as gender specific .

Measures 33 inches high x 43 inches long x 26 inches wide

Provenance : Larz Anderson home "Anderson House " , Dupont Circle , Washington D.C. (see America's Castles series , Washington's grandest home ) Currently the National HQ for The Society of Cincinnati . Last photo is the Anderson House

In 1890's Mr.Anderson was Ambassador to Italy , Mrs. Anderson wrote in Anderson House Inventory of 1911 , page 38
